Amavi Cellars
Located in the Walla Walla Valley, Amavi Cellars is a small, family-owned winery with dedicated caretakers of the land who craft elegant, approachable wines. While focusing on estate-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, they also make small amounts of other varietals including Sémillon and Rosé. Their estate-vineyard wines, managed by WSU alumnus Shane McKibben, begin with exceptional grapes hand-harvested from their Les Collines, Seven Hills, and Pepper Bridge Vineyards.
The Amavi name is a combination of the Latin root words "am" (love) and "vi" (life). It represents their simple pursuits: love, life, and wine (or as they like to say: amor - vita - vinum).
As leaders in the practice and promotion of sustainable viticulture, Amavi Cellars uses Ceres, the Roman Goddess of Agriculture, on their label to symbolize their commitment to not only preserving but also to improving the land for future generations.
